On the Nile, I'm Snipped

I drew this in the begining of the semester, and just finished it now. I think its one of my better pieces from this semester. I'm a little sad that it's older, but then I also take into consideration all the turmoil and hospitalization shortly after this piece was drawn. It now makes me feel really hopeful for the future out of school. I think I've been through the worst of everything and I hope it only gets better from here. I'll make sure of it.
On a less dramatic note, I forgot if this was a crocodile or alligator. The piece is about female circumcision, take what you want from it. I also did a two color Litho of this I will have to scan when I'm not going crazy trying to finish my finals on time :x

Harem Finished

Blah blah, I did this really fast. Ginna go back to it, but I had to scramble for the show in CA. Have to mail tomorrow :x I wish I painted in stronger shadows... shes glowing, I sort of like it that way though. Lot of flatter painting in this, I like that a lot more too... and patterns. Oh I should put some patters on the cloth...

SoHo Gig

Well I was asked, along with 20ish other local artists to do this music/art event in Soho. Basically they give us a song or two and we make a big drawing on canvas with marker and they film it in their studio. Later they sync it up and play our filmed drawings to the music at this big party/event thing. We were given the option to draw it ahead of time, and when we get there, transfer it then go wild with the sharpie. Given my detailed linework, I'm going to work everything out before hand. So this is what I'm working on. My tracks were "Beating Like a Drum" and "London Bombs" by Eskimo Joe. I really liked the "London Bombs" song and pulled the lyrics:

I'm also inspired by recent "love" events in my life, so combined this is what I've got.

Forest Fight for Toundra Finished

Argrgrgfbfkbcnv, this took so long. I need a new computer, its not handling well anymore. Divided it into the sides and mock type (this type is terrible, but it needs something a little heavy so just for example). The client will be doing the final type... I hope they don't bastardize it. :x I wonder if it will be printed and I'll have some for survey... that would be awesome.

Upcoming Shows

I also have about 5 more group shows coming up, be on the look out. Another in London, Toronto, Florida, and two in Cali. I'm so excited!
